exponentially. Have you heard of a company called Alexa? I use that plugin as part of a "gauge" on how well my site ranks against other websites globally. On my first couple days with another website i own it started out at a 6 million Global and a 2 million US Rank. Three weeks later it's at 1.1 million and 87k ranking respectively. I admit I'm not a guru at page ranking but I do know how to shake the system a bit Lol.

In this article I'm not going to go over much what I had already discussed in my previous blog posts. My main goal is to provide value and not repeat myself too much. There are many topics to cover in the search engine optimization industry but I will cover the main one here.

One search engine optimization strategy I will repeat over and over is that you should always have your own unique and original content on your website or blog. That is a big one if you want to rank high on the search engines. An interesting observation I've made lately is that there are a few sites out here that have very high page rank and they don't have many author generated backlinks. It's mainly because of the very high quality, relevant, and unique content that attracts more visitors that keep coming back for more. I'm not saying to abandon the back linking strategy but thought you should know this fact.

If you had been reading my past blog posts then you already know that Google does frequent algorithm tweaks. The latest was a huge change in regard to how good your content is written, and how much. What I mean by "how much" is how many words are contained in your article. To get a better rank you should have at least 500 words or more in your content. So make this a change for the rest of your internet writing days that you will never again write an article containing fewer than five hundred words. It only takes a couple minutes to write that extra content.



Search Engine Optimization Strategies and keeping it real

So far we have talked about having unique content, which is basically written by your own fingers and mind. Relevant content is a big factor in the score too, which means you need to stay on topic and your keywords in the same niche or genre. Third is having more than a few hundred words in each article. These are simple yet important steps to having a top presence on the search engines.

By following those rules, you don't really have to worry about the next Google algorithm manipulation because you will already have what Google wants. In return you will see more return visitors to your site because your content makes sense and is informative to them in some way. Your site will also have a "long-term" presence because of the good content.

These are the basic rules for optimization and there are definitely more advanced tweeks you can do.
